Is there a risk for blocking the upgoing airflow if you pack the woodsticks to tight when you load the stove and try to start burning from the top?

Good information but if you are not going to use the new carrier which you should have none but at the very least clean the old one with small wire brush and copper grease the pads ,it's not hard to remove the carrier anyhow if you have the correct star drive socket and a decent length 1 inch drive rachet, or one you can fit a pry bar over .

I had a bad O-ring on the PCV valve fitting where you connect the hose to the nipple. I used a smoke machine to introduce smoke into the intake manifold and the smoke leaked out around the nipple The result was a vacuum leak that I was able to repair with a $0.50 O-ring from NAPA.

If you're in the Northern hemisphere, your rotation should be anticlockwise, due to the coriolis effect on low pressure systems, and vice versa in the southern.

You wouldnt expect to "see" or hear anything from any vacuum: you are only slowly shaving away the metal so chances are that only the smallest of pinholes form and that is just too small for any air to make a sound, but enough to fill up the space quickly.

I think you may be overfilling the fire pit bit with too many pellets. If you just cover the bottom and light it you will create the thermal flow needed for these to work efficiently. At the moment the fire is sitting too high up the burner so the gasifier principle can't happen.

I would recommend NOT using anything to clean the inside as you can never get all of it out and you don't want brake clean mixing with diff oil

Good step by step video. The key parts as you mentioned is the actual refill process and car leveling. A good add on would’ve been what if one doesnt have the tranny temp monitoring capability (95-113f)? What if one had to fly by the seat of their pants and guesstimate without knowing temps?

Mate thankyou so much. I was just about to buy a new unit and I came upon this video and I thought I'd give it a go. The blower fan fuse wasn't even in place. I put the 30 fuse in. Then I removed the cabin filter and went to spin it and it was indeed stuck. I spun it a few times by hand then put some wd40 on it. Then turn the car on and it was working again. Legend thankyou mate.

Nestle powdered milk "Nido" cans are nice, having an edge like the paint can, and fit well with a Dole pineapple juice can if you want a little bigger stove. The Dole can is tall, but could maybe be cut to fit over the edge. . . still working on it. Powdered milk is great for camping, tho.

You could also fill up the fluid in the pan and then carefully bolt it back on to avoid having to fill it up with a pump I’ve also done this. It’s hard but it’s easier than using a pump and cheaper than buying a kit and hoses

There should be a fill hole with rubber boot on the side of the transmission.y is it that no one uses the fill hole to fill up the transmission in these?? I don’t really understand y.

How long will one single load burn?

I'm having trouble trying to get a socket on the sensor (I've tried 2 different ones now) - they are too thick and won't fit onto the hex with the metal coolant line so close by. Are there any specific sockets which will squeeze in there?
